Topple Tower is an easy-to-learn stacking game for parties, family gatherings, weddings, tailgates, and backyard fun. Players take turns removing blocks and placing them on top of the tower—but one unsteady move can bring the entire tower down.
Players
Two or more players can play individually or in teams.
Setting Up the Tower
- Choose a flat, level playing surface.
- Place three blocks next to one another to create the first level.
- Place the next three blocks on top, turning them 90 degrees so they run in the opposite direction.
- Continue alternating the direction of each level until all the blocks have been stacked.
- Make sure the tower is stable before beginning the game.
The person who builds the tower takes the first turn.
How to Play
- On your turn, remove one block from anywhere below the highest completed level of the tower.
- Use only one hand at a time while touching or removing blocks.
- You may gently touch or tap blocks to find one that moves easily.
- If you move a block but decide not to remove it, return it to its original position before touching another block.
- Place the block you removed on top of the tower.
- Complete one three-block level before beginning another level, alternating the direction of each new level.
- Your turn ends ten seconds after you place your block or when the next player touches the tower, whichever happens first.
Play then continues clockwise to the next player.
Winning the Game
The game ends when the tower falls or when any block falls from the tower other than the block a player is intentionally moving.
The winner is the last player to successfully remove a block and place it on top without causing the tower to fall.
Safe Play
Topple Tower blocks can be heavy, especially when played with a large set. Follow these precautions:
- Set up the tower on a stable, level surface.
- Keep feet, drinks, furniture, and breakable items away from the playing area.
- Do not climb, lean on, or push the tower.
- Stand clear of the tower when it begins to fall.
- Supervise children while they are playing.
- Do not throw the blocks.
- Wait until all blocks have stopped moving before rebuilding the tower.
Storage and Care
Keep the blocks clean and dry, and store them in a covered location when they are not being used. Do not leave the game exposed to rain, standing water, or prolonged moisture.
If the blocks become damp, wipe them dry and allow them to air-dry completely before returning them to storage.
