Cornhole Wraps: An Affordable Way to Give Your Boards a New Look

Cornhole Wraps: An Affordable Way to Give Your Boards a New Look

Posted by Custom Cornhole, LLC on 2nd Oct 2026

Sometimes your cornhole boards still play perfectly—but they no longer look like the boards you want to bring to the party. When replacing an entire set is not in the budget, cornhole wraps (also called cornhole skins) offer a smart, affordable way to give your existing boards a completely new look.

Whether you want to add a business logo, wedding artwork, a favorite photograph, team colors, or an original design, a set of wraps can turn plain or well-used boards into something personal again. You keep the boards you already own and change the part everyone sees.

Why Cornhole Skins Make So Much Sense

A quality set of cornhole boards can last for years. The artwork on top, however, may become dated, damaged, or simply no longer fit your style. Cornhole skins let you refresh the appearance without paying for another complete set or dealing with the cost of shipping two full-size boards.

They are especially useful when you want to:

  • Update an older or scratched set of boards
  • Add a company logo for a trade show, office, or employee event
  • Create personalized boards for a wedding or family gathering
  • Feature a photograph, hobby, or completely original design
  • Change your boards without starting over from scratch

In other words, your boards do not need a retirement party. They may just need a wardrobe change.

Printed for Vivid Color and Easier Application

Our wraps are printed on high-quality 3M vinyl using Eco-Sol inks and TrueVIS printing technology. This combination produces vivid, detailed, and long-lasting colors that look great on a cornhole board.

The vinyl also features Rapid Air technology, which helps release trapped air during application and reduces the chance of bubbles. You should still work slowly and carefully, but the material is designed to make the process much more forgiving.

What Is the White Border Around the Wrap?

Customers occasionally open their package, see a white edge around the artwork, and wonder whether the wrap was printed too large. That extra material is intentional.

The finished design area measures exactly 24 inches by 48 inches, which matches the playing surface of a regulation-size cornhole board. We add an additional 1/2-inch white trim border around the outside of the design.

That white border serves two useful purposes:

  1. It helps protect the artwork during shipping. Wraps travel rolled inside a shipping tube and may shift or bounce during transit. If an outside edge picks up a small wrinkle or scuff, the disposable white border is there to absorb it instead of the printed design.
  2. It gives you extra material during installation. The border provides something to hold and work with while positioning the wrap. After the vinyl is secured to the board, use the same sharp utility or X-Acto knife needed for the hole to trim away the white edge.

Why Aren’t the Holes Pre-Cut?

The cornhole holes are intentionally left uncut. Although a pre-cut opening might sound convenient, it would make precise alignment much less forgiving. Leaving the vinyl intact lets you position the entire design first. Once the wrap is installed, you can locate the board opening and carefully cut out the hole with a sharp utility knife.

Product images may show where the hole will appear on a regulation-size board, but the wrap you receive will arrive without the hole removed.

Are Cornhole Wraps Easy to Install?

Yes—especially if you prepare the boards properly, take your time, and have the right tools nearby. Your board surface should be smooth, clean, completely dry, and free of dust. We recommend sealing unfinished wood and allowing the finish to cure fully before installing the vinyl.

A few simple tools will make the job easier:

  • A squeegee
  • Masking or painter’s tape
  • A sharp utility or X-Acto knife
  • A clean microfiber cloth
  • A hair dryer or heat gun used carefully around edges, if needed

What Is a Squeegee?

A squeegee is a small, flat plastic tool used to press the vinyl smoothly onto the board and work trapped air toward the edges. Think of it as the quiet hero of the installation: not flashy, but extremely helpful.

Laminated or Unlaminated Cornhole Wraps?

We offer both laminated and unlaminated wraps, but we highly recommend choosing lamination.

Laminated wraps have an added protective layer that helps extend the life of the print and makes the vinyl easier to handle during installation. A clear coat is not required over a laminated wrap, although one or two coats can add protection and help create a smooth playing surface.

Unlaminated wraps are raw printed decals. They require a protective clear coat after installation to safeguard the ink and prepare the boards for play.

Can You Mix and Match Two Designs?

Absolutely. Each order includes two wraps—one for each board—and they do not have to match. Place an order for a set as usual, then leave a note during checkout telling us which design you want for the second wrap. We will confirm the details before printing.

What Comes With an Order?

The price includes two cornhole wraps, also called cornhole skins—one for each regulation-size board. Cornhole boards and bags are not included. Wrap orders generally ship within 2–3 business days after the order and any required design approval are complete.

A New Look Without a New Set of Boards

When budgets are tight, it makes sense to get more life out of the things you already own. Cornhole wraps let you keep a solid set of boards while changing the design completely. They are affordable, customizable, easier to install than many people expect, and a lot more exciting than staring at the same tired boards for another summer.
